Action Taken:
The only Transportaion Bridge Between JNPT and cities. Due to extensive movement of Heavily loaded cargo vehicles in the past 12 years the bridge has lost its strength and started vibrating heavily causing a threat of collapse. The Turnkey Project involved Overall Strength enhancement of the spans. Strengthening was done by Epoxy Grouting, Steel girders installation, replacement of almost all damaged Bearings, enhancement of girders by external Pre-stressing and non-prestressing using carbon fiber laminate and Carbon- Fiber wrapping system.
